The first “Our Generation” International Televised Children’s Song Competition has drawn to a close. The competition took place in Moscow. The theme was “Music without Borders.” The participants are already travelling back to their home countries. The organizers and delegations are somewhat sad that they have to leave each other. In the past few days, everyone got to know each other and formed friendships, gained insight into the music and culture of different countries while performing at the Moscow Concert Hall.
We once again wish the best to the winners: 11-year-old Wang Yichun from China with the song “Hope in Motion” won the audience voting, and 12-year-old Idar Kotsev from Russia with the song “You’re All with Me” won the jury voting.
We also congratulate other participants on their fine performances. This year the following countries took part in the competition: Russia, China, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Mauritius, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and South Africa.
