Singer Dima Bilan, the honored artist of Russia, was chosen to be the ambassador of the First “Our Generation” International Televised Children’s Song Competition that is to be held in Moscow with “Music without Borders” as the main theme.
Dima noted that he is fortunate to be a part of such a magnificent project: “I was very excited to become an ambassador of the ‘Our Generation’ competition. It’s an honor but also a responsibility. It’s great that we will be able to learn more about the cultures of participating countries. What’s to be discovered in the mysterious world of South African music? What about the music of Pakistan, Mongolia, and Brazil? I’m eagerly awaiting the performances. I’m the embodiment of Russia’s multinational culture (Dima Bilan spent his childhood and youth in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Tatarstan), and I know how important it is to promote the music of one’s motherland. I believe in “Our Generation”, and I wish this wonderful competition the greatest success!”
